ProMath 2020

It is our pleasure to invite you to the 22nd conference on Problem Solving in Mathematics Education -  ProMath 2020 - organized by the Faculty of Education, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece. The conference will be held from August 24th to August 26th, 2020 at the School of Primary Education (Tower Building, Campus, 54124 Thessaloniki).

Aim of the conference

The aim of the conference is to provide a discussion forum and to present research results in the field of problem solving. In the ProMath spirit we will provide enough time to engage in in-depth discussions after each presentation.


The theme for the conference is

Problem solving and problem posing: Perspectives and potentialities
in research and practice

Participants are invited to submit presentations in the form of

  • research papers, that have a rigorous theoretical underpinning (empirical, theoretical, or developmental papers), or
  • papers from teachers and other practitioners on research and/or experimental work

with a focus on perspectives and potentialities of problem solving and problem posing in research and practice.

The conference will be held in English.

If you are interested in presenting a research report, an abstract and a title of your presentation have to be submitted no later than June 1st, 2020. Please use registration form for it.

If you plan to participate at the ProMath conference, the registration form must be in the hands of the organizers no later than July 15th, 2020.

The latest day to submit an abstract: June 1st, 2020.

Information about the acceptance of the report: June 15th, 2020.

Please pay the conference fee of 30 Euro in the following bank account no later than July 15th, 2020.

The latest day to register: July 15th, 2020.

Days of the conference: 24 - 26 August, 2020

The latest day to submit the paper: to be posted later on.

The airport of Thessaloniki (Thessaloniki Airport Makedonia) is served by flights from many cities in Europe. You can reach the city center from the airport by bus or taxi. For more information see here.
